We are a very custom frame company and as you can see, we have many Frame styles available in many colors. We are known for COLOR!! Our trims are used to accent our Frames to add color, character and style to every frame. Some choose NOT to add trim while others just want a ‘pop’ of color and choose a smaller trim like Gables or Scroll to achieve just a hint. Either way, you may want a little more info about our Trim Styles, our recommendations and the limitations we have on them. Hope this helps.
How many ‘Trim Styles’ are there?
We have 9 "Trim Styles" (See above).
Do I pay extra to have a trim on my frame?
Nope – same price with or without trim
Where and How are the trims placed on the frame.
Trims are attached to the TOP of the frame, closest to the image so they do not affect your frame opening size.
What is the difference between Trims and a ‘Trimlings’?
Trims are what sit on top of a frame. A TRIMLING is a Frame made of ONLY trim. There is no frame behind it so you only have 1 color choice on these. These are sold in sets of 3 and individually in larger sizes. When purchased in a set of 3 the size has to be the same but the color and trim style can differ! Bit of Trivia: We made this word up!! Hee hee
Are trims available in all your colors?
Yes, but there are some exceptions. We can not paint ‘Sweet Shoppe’ colors on trims. We do not recommend ‘LOL’ colors (these are the new colors with glitter) be put on Romeo, Cameo, or Victorian trims
What are your Roman, Cameo and Victorian Trims made of…they are so different?
These beautiful trims are made close to home! These Vintage trims are made by a company who makes replica moulding for the restoration of Antebellum Homes here in the south. The Decorative part of these trims are made of crushed pecan and almond shells and then molded onto reclaimed wood. They make beautiful trimlings and when distressed show texture and color variation. They are perfect for glazes, stains and waxes.
What are Trim Collections?
Trim Collections are made up of our trims, painted all of our colors and cut into 7-8” sticks. They are then divided into separate Color Collections for your convenience. We have 10 Collections and no 2 colors are repeated within the collections. When you purchase a ‘Collection’, you are guaranteed to receive one of each of the 9 trim styles. Most Photographers start with only 2 or 3 collections. We can help you decide which collection is best for you depending on what you shoot and where in the home you are going to design these frames to go. Let us help.
Our trims can also be purchased individually. However, when you do this, you can choose colors but you can not choose trim styles because these are pre- painted and cut.
